The San Diego Padres and Callaway are setting up a nine-hole golf course in their stadium and it looks awesome

October 16, 2015

Whoever thought up this brilliant idea deserves a raise. Well, until someone gets hurt.

The San Diego Padres and Callaway are setting up a nine-hole golf course at Petco Park next month. Dubbed "The Links at Petco Park," the course will be open from Nov. 6-8 with tee times starting at $100 for a twosome and $200 for a foursome.

From the Padres' website:

"Each hole will feature a unique theme and the opportunity to win prizes like a new Callaway Great Big Bertha Driver. Golfers will finish in The Loft presented by Budweiser."

Callaway, the, um, driving force behind this event, has its headquarters just up the road from Petco in Carlsbad. Anyway, here's a look at what the new course will look like:

And here's a better idea of how some of the holes will look to those playing:

We count nine teeing areas, but just four greens. Does it look awesome? Yes. Just make sure you're paying attention.
