Steve Kerr makes good on promise, gets Steph Curry, Andre Iguodala on Augusta National

February 23, 2016

Last year, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr vowed to Steph Curry and Andre Iguodala that, if they captured the NBA Finals, he would get them on Augusta National.

This promise became known after the Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in June, as Iguodala told reporters, “You know how everybody goes to Disneyland? We’re going to Augusta!”

Now Kerr, who has connections to 2604 Washington Road, is making good on his word.

After defeating the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night, Kerr arranged for Curry and Iguodala to tee it up at Augusta on Tuesday. Curry, the reigning NBA MVP, and Iguodala, the Finals MVP, are playing with Hall of Famer/Warriors executive Jerry West and owner Joe Lacob.

Given the Warriors have a shot at the record for most regular season wins, God only knows what golf-centric present Kerr promised for this campaign.
