Snoop Dogg says golf is "garbage" without Tiger Woods

November 03, 2016

Everyone has an opinion on Tiger Woods these days. That even includes rapper Snoop Dogg, who was randomly asked about the impending return of the 14-time major champ by TMZ on Wednesday.

"It's a beautiful thing that Tiger Woods is coming back," said Snoop of his 'close friend' Tiger. "Because the sport of golf is GARBAGE without him."

With all due respect to Snoop, we beg to differ.

"Nobody watches it, the ratings went down, it ain't as fly as it used to be," Snoop continued. "He was the flavor. He was the seasoning salt. It's just like some Shake 'n Bake chicken now. You understand me?"

Sort of. . . ? But what about Rory McIlroy, Snoop? He doesn't bring any flavor? Is Jason Day not fly? Is Jordan Spieth not salty? Does Dustin Johnson not have swagger? Did Snoop even watch the Ryder Cup? We think he would have liked Patrick Reed.

Anyway, here's the quick, but entertaining interview/ambush:

On Tuesday, Woods confirmed he will play in the Hero World Challenge Dec. 1-4. Woods, who sat out the entire 2015-2016 PGA Tour season after undergoing two back surgeries, hasn't played a competitive round of golf since the 2015 Wyndham Championship. In September, he announced he'd make his comeback at the Safeway Open, but he withdrew three days before the October event.

While we wait to see if Woods actually plays this time, enjoy these photos of him and Snoop Dogg taken at Spike TV's 2nd Annual Video Game Awards in 2004. That setting is particularly timely with Woods recently admitting to Stephen Colbert that he played eight hours of Call of Duty a day while his back was recovering. And how about these outfits?
