Rory McIlroy's golf clubs lost in transit, proving that pros are just like the rest of us

By Luke Kerr-Dineen

By now, it's pretty much happened to every golfer. If it hasn't, be prepared, because it will.

Following his T-23 finish at the 2014 U.S. Open, Rory McIlroy was on his way to the Irish Open on Monday but ran into a slight problem -- his golf clubs, apparently, were on a different schedule. About 24 hours later, Rory McIlroy tweeted at the airline on Tuesday politely enquiring as to their whereabouts. After all, he does "sort of need them this week."

About two hours after Rory sent the initial tweet, the airline responded.
