Role reversal: Watch Ted Scott berate Bubba Watson in tongue-in-cheek video

April 22, 2016

During the 2013 Travelers Championship, Bubba Watson infamously chided his caddie, Ted Scott, after his shot found the water on TPC River Highland's 16th hole.

"Water," Watson said incredulously to Scott. "It's in the water. That club." His next shot flew the green, leading to another mini Bubba blow-up.

The PGA Tour has wisely tried to wipe the internet clean of the video, but it's one of the defining moments of the divisive career of Watson. It also spurred the "Pray for Ted Scott" movement, a hashtag often seen on Twitter following one of Watson's many outbursts.

Yet, the relationship between Watson and Scott is one of the tightest player-caddie rapports on tour. Which is why, during down time at the Shenzhen International in China, the duo decided to re-enact the lionized Hartford meltdown. Only this time, with the roles reversed:

Say what you want about Bubba, but not many guys would acknowledge one of their weaker moments. That said, a 1-iron? Maybe Watson should lay off the looper advice.
