Rickie Fowler joins ESPN's College Gameday as guest picker for Oklahoma State

November 28, 2015

Boy, that was close. PGA Tour player Rickie Fowler joined ESPN's College GameDay crew on Saturday in Stillwater, Okla., before the big game pitting his alma mater Oklahoma State against Oklahoma in the Bedlam game.

And there was nearly serious bedlam.

Fowler was a little too close for comfort to ESPN analyst Lee Corso, who picked the Cowboys in his typical picks' routine. As he celebrated the pick, the 80-year-old former coach shot what we're sure were "pretend" bullets into the sky.

Seated next to Corso, Rickie came close to catching one of the bullets Corso shot -- with a giant Cowboy hat and face on his head.

We all knew Rickie has serious celebrity clout. Getting the nod as the GameDay guest picker? Further proof of Rickie's celeb status.

Fowler showed his love for many golfers during his GameDay appearance. He threw shout-outs to Dustin Johnson, DJ's brother Austin Johnson, Jason Dufner, Bubba Watson, Michelle Wie and Tiger for their respective schools.

Looks like Rickie got treated nice by the ESPN folks. Rickie flew private from Jupiter, Fla., into Stillwater. That's the way to do it!

The Oklahoma State faithful showed their love for Fowler:

Well done, Rickie.
