Parenting is a LOT easier when you get Jordan Spieth to motivate your kids

June 16, 2016

In addition to spending the past few days at Oakmont preparing for the U.S. Open, Jordan Spieth also participated in a couple of important video messages. First, he got creative with his announcement that he will play in Zach Johnson's charity golf tournament later this summer. And then, he helped out a golf instructor by providing a bit of motivation to his sons.

"Hey, Eli and Ethan, this is Jordan Spieth here. I think you should listen to your dad and do your drills every day."

What's next? Spieth taping messages telling children to eat their vegetables and brush their teeth?

Eli and Ethan are the sons of John Tillery, a swing coach whose stable of players includes Kevin Kisner and William McGirt. You'd think working with PGA Tour winners would be enough to get his kids to listen to his advice, but bringing in a 22-year-old two-time major champ doesn't hurt.

Well played, John. Something tells us Eli and Ethan are going to spend a lot more time practicing now.
