Milwaukee: Air & Water Show trumps golf

U.S. Bank's six-year run as the title sponsor of Milwaukee's PGA Tour event ended last year, effectively killing the tournament. But the company isn't getting out of the title sponsor game. The U.S. Bank Air & Water Show will debut in June.

A story in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel said this: "U.S. Bank's three-year sponsorship [sic] of Milwaukee's annual PGA golf tournament ended last year. Bank spokeswoman Lisa Clark said U.S. Bank is 'redistributing' sponsorship funds among other Milwaukee events, including the air show and Brewers parties."

Unlike the PGA Tour event, the Air & Water Show attracts the top stars in their respective fields, notably the Navy's Blue Angels.
