Two weeks after winning in her native Mexico, Lorena Ochoa had eight birdies and just one bogey Thursday.

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Lorena Ochoa shot a 7-under 64 and took a one-shot lead after the first round of the Michelob Ultra Open at Kingsmill.

Lindsey Wright was one shot behind the world's top-ranked player after a bogey-free round Thursday on the resort's soggy and wind-swept 6,315-yard River Course.

Hee-Won Han, Sarah Lee and Minea Blomqvist were another shot back after 66s as 45 players shot better than par.

The day started with slight drizzle falling on the already rain-soaked course, and when the rain subsided and the sun came out, wind gusts made it more challenging.

Ochoa picked up where she left off in winning the last tour stop two weeks ago in her native Mexico. She had eight birdies and one bogey as she tries again to win the tournament where she has tied for second three times, last to Karrie Webb in 2006.
