Gary Woodland shot a bogey-free round of six-under par 65 in the second round of the OHL Classic at Mayakoba on Friday to take a one-stroke lead.

Woodland, who has made only a single bogey in 36 holes, finished 36 holes at El Camaleon GC in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, at 13-under par 129. Woodland has won twice on the PGA Tour, his last victory coming in 2013.

Former U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson is alone in second place following a second-straight round of six-under 65 and has yet to make a bogey. Simpson’s last of four PGA Tour victories came in 2014.

Scott Piercy is alone in third place, two shots behind Woodland, while Abraham Ancer of Mexico and first-round leader Chris Kirk are part of a group of seven players tied for fourth, three strokes behind.

Defending champion Graeme McDowell followed an opening round of 75 with a 65 to make the cut on the number, at two-under par 140.
