Kevin Stadler's ball can't take it anymore, impales itself onto a cactus

February 02, 2014

Kevin Stadler's golf ball stuck itself onto a cactus at the Phoenix Open on Monday.

No, really.

After hitting his drive on the par-4 11th hole into the desert during his final round at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Stadler's ball, apparently upset with the situation, threw itself onto a nearby cactus. Because the ball remained suspended in midair, it forced Stadler, who was leading at the time by one over Bubba Watson, to take an unplayable penalty en route to a double bogey.

No word on how the ball itself is doing.
