Justin Thomas needs a new 8-iron after snapping his on a tree

February 05, 2016

If you're reading this, Mrs. Thomas, don't worry, your son Justin didn't throw a temper tantrum on the course. No, the young PGA Tour star simply snapped his 8-iron on a tree while punching out from the desert during the second round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open. See for yourself:

Thomas' punch-out was successful on the par-5 15th hole and he went on to make par. Since the broken club happened during normal course of play, he's allowed to replace it during the round. And since he has his name on his bag, we assume that will be a bit easier for him than it would be for your typical weekend hacker.

Or maybe Thomas could just borrow one of Keegan Bradley's extra clubs. Sorry, Keegan. Too soon?
