Jordan Spieth shows support for Stephen Curry on U.S. Open Sunday by wearing his shoes

June 19, 2016

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! Sunday is your day and boy, does it present a fantastic lineup of sports to watch. The final round of the U.S. Open should finish in time for a quick dinner. And then? Game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. There's no reason to leave the couch for the entire day -- especially if your family serves your dinner on a TV tray.

Jordan Spieth isn't a father yet, but he's bridging the gap between the two mega sporting events. On Sunday morning, he shared this photo of he and caddie Michael Greller wearing Stephen Curry's new shoe before the final round in support of the Warriors superstar, who happens to be a fellow Under Armour buddy:

The new shoes have, to be kind, drawn a mixed reaction from people. As you can see, several golfers were quick to weigh in. They weren't as kind.

Tough crowd.

Curry, of course, has defended the latest line of his footwear. And now he has some backing in Spieth. Of course, neither will care what anyone thinks of the look if they're able to find a way to defend their respective titles on Sunday.
