J.B. Holmes finally finds his clubs, but still can't avoid rough round

The good news for J.B. Holmes is that he finally got his golf clubs back. Even better? He got them (just) in time for the Scottish Open and they look to be intact.

The bad news is his last-minute practice wasn't enough to keep him from posting a rough opening round. Holmes shot 80 at Castle Stuart Golf Links on Thursday morning. That placed him tied for second-to-last among those in the morning wave.

Holmes had taken to social media the past few days to complain about United Air and Aer Lingus losing his precious possessions (Tour pros, they're just like us!). He can't be happy about Thursday's performance, but the timing could have been worse. He's still got a week to prepare for a certain other Open.
