In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Jack Nicklaus spoke on his relationship with Donald Trump. The 18-time major winner praised the presumed Republican presidential candidate, calling him "terrific."

"I've done several things with Donald on golf courses, and he's absolutely treated me great," Nicklaus told CBS correspondent Jim Axelrod. "He's been aboveboard."

When asked about the parallels between Trump's campaign performance and his business dealings, Nicklaus hesitated to get into politics. Nevertheless, the Golden Bear did remark that he likes what he sees from Trump.

"He's turning America upside-down, he's awakening the country," Nicklaus said. "We need a lot of that."

Nicklaus went on to say that Trump isn't as politically correct or polished as he should be, but believes that will improve over time.

"He's not stupid. He didn't get to where he's at because he's dumb."
