Golfer makes quintuple bogey, albatross(!) on back-to-back tournament holes
We wouldn't have believed this scorecard from Sam Johnston if the Mackenzie Tour (PGA Tour Canada) hadn't shared it:
Yes, that's a quintuple-bogey 8 on a par 3 followed by an albatross 2 on a par 5. The golf gods have quite the devilish sense of humor, don't they?
Johnston was playing in the first round of Q School for the Mackenzie Tour on Tuesday at the Reunion Resort and Spa's Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in Kissimmee, Fla. Despite the wild swing, the amateur finished with an even-par 72 to end Day 1 tied for 13th place.
