CBS' coverage of PGA will provide glimpse of what Masters coverage could be

August 12, 2015

What viewers will get in PGA Championship coverage from CBS and its broadcast partner (TNT, in this case) will be everything they offer in Masters coverage with the benefit of operating sans the restrictions placed on them by Augusta National. Or more of everything, including technology.

This includes six hours of live coverage on Thursday and Friday, eight hours on Saturday and Sunday, with Jim Nantz anchoring CBS' coverage and Ernie Johnson hosting TNT's broadcast. The pairing of Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Zach Johnson will air in its entirety on Thursday.

Among technical enhancements will be the Protracer that will also include target lines and ideal landing areas on par 4s and 5s. And drones equipped with cameras will provide aerial views of the course.

Moreover, CBS.com will stream live coverage of the tournament on Saturday and Sunday and will offer on-demand video content as well.

Then there's CBS Sports Network, which will air the PGA Championship Clubhouse Report at the conclusion of play each day. The Clubhouse Report will include highlights from the day's play, interviews and analysis.

Here is the broadcast schedule of live coverage of the tournament (all EDT):

2 p.m. to 8 p.m. TNT
