British Open 2017: Rory McIlroy and Jason Day will wear Nike's latest technology in different ways

July 17, 2017

Nike is constantly innovating when it comes to apparel, and "Aeroreact" is the company's latest and greatest when it comes to cutting-edge materials. First introduced in January, Aeroreact is a responsive, lightweight fabric designed to adapt to an athlete's body temperature for ultimate comfort and breathability.

While Day has lately been wearing Nike's blade collars, he'll go old-school at the British Open and wear Aeroreact polos that have traditional collars ($90). McIlroy, meanwhile, will wear the more progressive Aeroreact blade polos ($90). Both golfers will pair their Aeroreact polos with Nike's Flex pants ($110) and Lunar Control Vapor shoes ($175). Day will wear earthy tones all four days at Royal Birkdale, and McIlroy will amp it up a bit with bolder colors, especially with Sunday's laser-orange polo.
