Bill Murray is auctioning off his Pabst Blue Ribbon shorts for a good cause

November 12, 2014

If you're a voracious reader of Golf Digest, or a voracious reader of all things Bill Murray (or both), you'll remember that Bill Murray busted out some snazzy Pabst Blue Ribbon shorts for his charity golf tournament back in March. They were so popular that Murray decided to put them to good use.

Murray's charity foundation is teaming up with PBR and Loudmouth Golf -- the creators of the shorts -- to hold a 10-day auction on Ebay for a signed pair of the shorts, which comes with a complimentary PBR-themed sport coat and pants. All the proceeds will go towards the purchase of an "Action Trackchair", which is described as an "off-road wheelchair" that will then be given to a injured veteran.

__SIGNATURE PABST BLUE RIBBON SHORTS - UP FOR GRABS IN EBAY CHARITY AUCTION__

Murray Brothers Caddyshack® Charity Golf, PBR and Loudmouth Golf

Partner for Charity Auction This November

CHICAGO- Murray Brothers Caddyshack® Charity Golf has teamed up with Pabst Blue Ribbon and Loudmouth Golf to restore freedom for disabled veterans through two exclusive eBay charity auctions. Starting Monday, November 10 through Thursday, November 20, fans of the Murray brothers, PBR lovers and golf fanatics will have a chance to take home exclusive prize packages, with items including a signature pair of PBR shorts signed by Bill Murray or the ultimate golf getaway, complete with a meet and greet with the Murray Brothers. Both auction packages will include a PBR Loudmouth coat and pants for the winning bidder.

Proceeds from both charity auctions will go to purchase an Action Trackchair (worth $14,000). This ultimate off-road wheelchair allows the individual using it to go places they never thought possible - mountain roads, campgrounds, the woods, the beach, through mud and snow and more.

"This donation will significantly improve an injured veteran's independence and quality of life," said Dan McHugh, CMO for Pabst Brewing Co. "Every day, the Murray Brothers, PBR and Loudmouth Golf are inspired by the heroes who risk their lives to ensure the future prosperity of our great nation. It's an honor to be able to support our injured veterans' recovery and freedom."

In 2001, the Murray Brothers opened Murray Bros. Caddyshack® at World Golf Village, home of the World Golf Hall of Fame, in St. Augustine, Florida. All six of them (Andy, Bill, Brian-Doyle, Ed, Joel and Johnny) created the Murray Bros. Caddyshack® Charity Golf Tournament to give back to the local community. The tournament is an all-inclusive, two-day event held during the spring, combining great parties, fabulous golf, one-of-a-kind concerts and fun, just as the Murrays intended.
