5 players who are on track for sneaky good finishes at the British Open

HOYLAKE, England -- Rory McIlroy may be running away with this thing, but that doesn't mean there isn't any Sunday drama at the British Open.

Fueled in part by a bunch of American journalists in attendance placing "each way" bets for certain players ("each way" meaning a golfer pays out no only if he wins, but if he finishes inside the top seven, for 25 percent of their original odds), we're keeping an eye on a few players who are coasting under the radar but can potential come away with solid finishes at Royal Liverpool.

Adam Scott

Scott found himself on the worse side of the draw the first two days, then played in the rain Saturday, and still is T-7 after three rounds. A good final round could give him his third-straight top-five British Open finish.

Marc Warren

The former Walker Cupper from Scotland (below) hasn't won the European Tour since 2007, but he's five under after 54 holes at Royal Liverpool. Could this spark a resurgence in the 33-year-old's form?

The 2011 British Open champion was slightly middling during the first two rounds (72-72), but shot up the leader board with a Saturday 67. Not many would have guessed he'd be on the first page of the leader board going into Sunday at the start of the week.

Jordan Spieth

After a disappointing 75 on Friday, Jordan Spieth has a Saturday pairing with Tiger Woods and shot 67. Another good round Sunday, and he could potentially sneak all the way into the top 10.

Harman, who won the John Deere Classic the previous week to qualify for Hoylake, is having his best year on tour, which is about to feature his best ever finish in a major. He had never made a cut in a major before this, but at Royal Liverpool, he's inside the top 25 after rounds of 72, 73 and 68.
