11 patriotic memes that sum up the dominant U.S. start to the Ryder Cup

September 30, 2016

U.S. golf fans haven't had much reason to brag at recent Ryder Cups. So after the 4-0 sweep in the opening foursomes matches on Friday morning at Hazeltine National, there was a lot of patriotism shared on social media.

Enjoy.

Patrick Reed told Davis Love III he wanted to play all five sessions. He and Jordan Spieth got the U.S. off to the right start in Friday morning's foursomes.

DJ getting Abraham Lincoln-type adoration from U.S. golf fans right now:

More presidential fun.

Because, why not?

Dancing Kuchar is gold.

Clockwork.

Spieth and Reed are getting a ton of credit. And rightfully so.

There's General Washington crossing the Delaware, and then Spieth and Reed conquering the Hazeltine River.

We have a feeling Russell Knox, snubbed for a European captains pick, is really enjoying Bermuda at this moment.

This is normal. This is fine.

That's a sweep, folks.
