NEW YORK, NY—The third Golf World/NGCA Division I Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine and the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA). The complete results, including results from Divisions II and III, will appear in the April 11 issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now.
UCLA takes over the number one spot in the poll, earning 15 of the 27 first–place votes. The Bruins won the Northrup Grumman Regional Challenge (Feb. 11–13) and finished third at the UCF Challenge (March 9–11). Duke lands in the second spot after a fifth place tie at the Liz Murphy Collegiate (March 21–23) and a second place finish at the Bryan Park National Collegiate (March 28–30).
Rounding out the top–five are Southern California (No. 3), Arizona State (No. 4) and Florida (No. 5).
Georgia (No. 7) joins the top–10 after winning its home tournament, the Liz Murphy Collegiate.
Virginia (No. 23) is the lone newcomer to the top–25.
