Golf World Announces Harris English of Georgia and Nannette Hill of Wake Forest as “College Players of the Week”
NEW YORK, NY— Golf World has announced its "College Players of the Week" for the period between October 22 and October 28. The feature will appear in the November 2 issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now.
This week's honorees are freshman Harris English of Georgia and junior Nannette Hill of Wake Forest. English most recently notched a three–stroke victory at the Isleworth–UCF Invitational on Oct. 24, after earning medalist honors at the Brickyard Collegiate two weeks earlier. His 11–under 205 broke a tournament record, as did his final–round 66. He also helped the Bulldogs win the team title by 21 strokes.
Hill became the first Demon Deacon to claim a 54–hole title in five years when she shot a one–over 217 to win the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C. on Oct. 28. Her efforts, which also included a second–round tournament–record 66 at CC of Landfall’s Nicklaus course, helped Wake Forest claim the team title— its first since 2004.
