NEW YORK, NY— Golf World has announced its “College Players of the Week” for the period between April 14 and April 20. The feature will appear in the April 25 issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now.
This week’s honorees are senior Michael Thompson of Alabama and junior Susannah Aboff of Princeton. Thompson claimed medalist honors at the SEC Championship with a final–round 65 and an eight–under 208. His efforts helped Alabama win the team title— its first since 1979.
Aboff broke the Ivy League record when she shot a 65 during the first round of the Ivy League Championships. She followed that performance with rounds of 70—72 to claim medalist honors by 11 strokes, and she became Princeton’s fourth different golfer to win the Ivy League title.
Golf World’s “College Players of the Week” section highlights a male and a female who have demonstrated outstanding individual play during a seven day period.
