Golf World Announces Ryan Haselden of Vanderbilt and Meghan Gockel of Kansas as “College Players of the Week”
NEW YORK, NY— Golf World has announced its “College Players of the Week” for the period between March 2 and March 8. The feature will appear in the March 16 issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now.
This week’s honorees are sophomore Ryan Haselden of Vanderbilt and junior Meghan Gockel of Kansas. With an eagle on the 18th hole at Golden Eagle G.C. in Tallahassee, Haselden secured his first collegiate win at the Seminole Intercollegiate. His three–under 213 performance also helped the Commodores to a one–stroke team triumph over Virginia.
Gockel won medalist honors at the Duramed Collegiate Invitational with a five–over 218. Her 54–hole score was the lowest of her college career and tied for the fourth lowest in school history.
Golf World’s “College Players of the Week” section highlights a male and a female who have demonstrated outstanding individual play during a seven day period.
