New York, NY—Golf Digest Vice President and Publisher Thomas J. Bair announced today the promotion of Karen Elyse to Executive Director, Events and Sports Marketing. Karen was previously the Director of the same group.
In her new role, Ms. Elyse will be responsible for the development and execution of more than 100 marketing programs each year for Golf Digest Publications’ four magazines: Golf Digest, Golf World, Golf For Women and Golf Digest Index. She will also oversee a number of annual events including The Golf Digest Celebrity Invitational and the Golf Digest Publications Celebrity Chef Classic, and will manage the company’s presence at the majors and The PLAYERS.
“Karen has played a major role in the development of some of the top marketing programs in this industry,” said Bair. “Our clients have always been extremely impressed with our events and Karen has been an integral part of that success.”
Prior to joining Golf Digest in 2002, Ms. Elyse worked for Miller Sports Group where she managed sponsorships and produced events for TENNIS Magazine and Sailing & Cruising World magazines.
