Golf Digest has had many milestone accomplishments throughout its first 60 years, from securing nationwide distribution in 1952 to publishing the first Green Star Awards for environmental sustainability in 2009. The magazine kicks off its 60th-anniversary celebration in the March issue.
The Man of Our Era — We like to say that Jack Nicklaus and Golf Digest started together, as Jack began playing golf at age 10 in 1950, the same year the magazine was founded. So, it was a no-brainer to turn to Nicklaus to grace the 60th anniversary cover and share his lifetime principles for great golf.
