If you're looking for a way to afford your child's golf camp this summer, consider having your kid commute rather than sleep over. Several camps offer discounts if your child doesn't stay overnight. JT Golf Camps at Furman University in Greenville, S.C., offers a daytime-only camp for $350 instead of the $1,045 overnight campers pay for the Nike Junior Resident Golf Camp that has the same teachers and facilities. At Ole Miss Golf Camp in Oxford, Miss., housing, meals, instruction and play costs $625 for a five-day overnight camp but $525 for day campers.
