In March we started a contest asking readers to send photos of off-course encounters with golf celebrities. Jody Lindvall of Elk Grove, Calif., was on vacation in the Bahamas about 10 years ago when he recognized a man shooting out of a water-slide tube. It was "my favorite Euro golfer, Seve the Great," Lindvall says. "He could not have been nicer. He introduced me to his wife and kids." Weeks before Seve's death in May, we judged this photo the winner, and Jody wonhis choice of a driver from our February 2011 Hot List.

Julie Coleman of Grand Junction, Colo., was strolling through the La Quinta, Calif., farmers' market when she spotted one of her golf heroes. "This pic will remain on my wall forever," Coleman says of meeting Arnold Palmer.
