Try my surefire anti-hook drill

Jim McLean

By Jim McLean

"Hooks happen when the hands outrace the body and flip the clubface closed through impact. Practice making small swings to feel a 'knuckles-up' release with the left hand. Stop the club at this checkpoint to see the left-hand knuckles showing, as opposed to the right hand overtaking the left. When you make these mini-swings, turn the left hip out of the way. Body rotation helps prevent the clubface from closing."
