Ryder Cup Fashion Preview:
Unveiling Team USA's Uniforms

Our Mr. Style weighs in on the outfits the Americans will wear this week at Medinah

September 2012
This year's uniforms designed by Polo/Ralph Lauren stay true to the red, white and blue, but modernize the looks with some technical fabrics and modern tailoring. Ralph Lauren brings a great deal off experience having designed both winter and summer USA Olympic uniforms. You can expect to see bold graphics, a clean color palette and lots of "zip."

The overall look to me is very modern in materials and construction, and very classic in colors and combinations. It's about time someone designed great red and great white pants!

The players will wear the footwear from the same companies they have been using all year. Count on Tiger Woods wearing the TW 13's he has been sporting all season, and watch for Adidas to give Brandt Snedeker, Dustin Johnson and Jim Furyk some cool color combinations. FootJoy usually makes a limited edition shoe so check out Steve Stricker.

That's not all as the team will have some neat head covers from DJ Langer and the very predictable USA golf bag.

High marks to the Ralph Lauren team for designing a great portfolio of products.

Practice Wardrobe
Practice uniforms showcase great-looking bottoms like these navy pinstripes in tropical weight wool with some stretch. And the USA belt buckle is a neat accessory.
