Video: McIlroy talks about how better fitness has helped his game

Lost in Rory McIlroy's latest romp was the transformation his body has gone through since his last eight-shot win in a major. Throughout 2012, we've seen a much leaner and stronger player than the teen phenom who broke onto golf's world stage a few years ago. 

And that certainly didn't hurt McIlroy last week. Players battled Kiawah's Ocean Course -- a brutal 7,676-yard layout -- as well as scorching South Carolina summer heat. Yet come Sunday evening, after playing 27 holes, McIlroy seemed fresh.

His play, attitude and a celebrity romance with tennis star Caroline Wozniacki also make him golf's freshest face. A few months ago, he did a poolside interview with Men's Health Magazine in which he discussed his fitness regimen and how it's helped with his golf game. McIlroy may keep his shirt on in the clip, but he certainly doesn't look like a curly-haired kid anymore:
