Another fog delay pushes back play more

HAVEN, Wis. -- Play has been delayed yet again at the PGA Championship because of more fog Friday morning at Whistling Straits. Officials are anticipating a two-hour delay, after which 78 players will attemtp to complete their first round.

While it was already doubtful a 36-hole cut was going to be made by the end of the day, the latest delay means the cut might not be made until midday Saturday, perhaps even later.

Compounding matters is a forecast calling for thunderstorms Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

Update, 8:57 a.m.: Play will resume at 9:40 a.m. CDT.
