Former CBS Sports broadcaster Pat Summerall turns 80 on Monday, but like Arnold Palmer, who turned 80 last September, the one-time golf and football anchor is going to be enjoying multiple celebrations.
The first, and perhaps biggest, is tonight in Dallas, when friends and former colleagues are gathering at The Mansion. Among the guests are former CBS Sports golf producer Frank Chirkinian, his successor Lance Barrow, and CBS studio personality James Brown. Ken Venturi, 78, Summerall's longtime sidekick in the 18th tower, is among friends who aren't attending but are sending video messages.
