AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Tom Watson fans will hope the horrific second round being shot by his fellow senior Sandy Lyle isn't a harbinger of things to come for the two-time Masters champion when he tees off at 12:25 p.m.
Like Watson, Lyle had a fine opening round, a three-under 69 Thursday, but the 1988 Masters champion double bogeyed the first hole Friday morning and things have gotten worse from there. Lyle has five 6s on his scorecard and shot a front-nine 46.
