The Local Knowlege

Stewart Cink gives back to his community

Much has been made of Stewart Cink's intimate knowledge of East Lake GC as an Atlanta resident and club member -- which all seemed to be working out great in the Tour Championship up until about 10 minutes ago.

That was when Cink stood on the tee of the par-4 10th, pulled his tee shot left and one-hopped it over a fence. Hitting three from the tee, Cink at least deserves credit with his next shot: he eliminated ambiguity altogether by pulling his tee shot again, this time clearing the fence ON THE FLY.

Cink went on to make quadruple-bogey 8. Tied for the lead before the hole began, he now finds himself four shots behind leader Tiger Woods.

No word yet on whether he can write off the two Nike One Blacks as charitable donations.
