The venerated Judy Rankin will receive the 2010 Old Tom Morris Award, presented annually by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America for to one whose "a continuing lifetime commitment to the game of golf has helped to mold the welfare of the game in a manner and style exemplified by Old Tom Morris."
Any occasion to honor Rankin, a member of the LPGA Hall of Fame, is a worthwhile one, given her playing record and her broadcasting skills and the grace she has brought to both careers.
Rankin will receive the award at the Golf Industry Show in San Diego in February.
