Claret Jug goes missing

Well, not really. Padraig Harrington saw its case near Stewart Cink's locker in the locker room at East Lake Golf club and arranged with a locker room attendant to move it to his own locker, as a prank.

"I couldn't find it," Cink said Tuesday. "Harrington, I guess, he only had it for two years, so he wanted to have it just a little bit longer. So he decided to take it from me. I've only had it for two months. He took it from me and put it in his own locker. "

Although most players didn't know what sat inside the inconspicuous silver suitcase, Harrington had become plenty familiar with it after capturing consecutive British Opens in 2007 and 2008.

According to the Associated Press, Cink said the jug has been in his kitchen, but that he would keep it at East Lake for a few weeks. Bobby Jones grew up at East Lake and won the British Open three times.

"This clubhouse is like a Bobby Jones golf history museum," Cink said. "With the claret jug in there, the actual one, I think it's fitting."
