The last passengers to board the British Midlands Airline flight from Glasgow, Scotland, to London on Monday morning were Hillary and Tom Watson, the latter receiving a rousing ovation from the rest of the passengers on board, reports Golf Digest's Mark Soltau, who was on the same flight.
When he deplaned in London, Watson graciously signed autographs for several minutes. As for his British Open postmortem, Watson said only, "It was a long night."
