A Ballesteros return at the Old Course?

TURNBERRY, Scotland -- Next year's Open at St. Andrews promises to be special anyway -- Opens at the home of golf always are -- but judging by this report in the BBC, another intriguing storyline could present itself.

That would be 52-year-old Seve Ballesteros making his return to golf on the course where he captured the 1984 British Open. The three-time Open champion is still recovering from brain surgery and chemotherapy, but is intent on working his way back as a competitor.

"I would love to play there again next year for the British public," Ballesteros said. "It's an objective I would like to turn into reality."
