USC tops women's preseason coaches' poll

USC finished one stroke back of Purdue at last year's NCAA Championship, but the Trojans have caught the attention of the women's golf world as they have been picked as the top team in the Golf World/NGCA women's preseason coaches' poll. While losing All-Americans Belen Mozo and Jennifer Song, USC has senior Lizette Salas anchoring its lineup as well as bringing in transfer Lisa McCloskey, who had a standout summer that included runner-up finishes at the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship and the Women's North & South.
