UCLA's Flores takes Lovemark's Palmer Cup spot

Jamie Lovemark's pain has become Erik Flores gain. The UCLA senior has been named the replacement for Lovemark for the U.S. Palmer Cup team that will be playing at Cherry Hills CC in Denver June 3-5.

Flores recently became the first Bruin to be named a three-time first-team All-Pac-10 golfer. In his last five starts, he's posted had a 70.3 average with three top-five finishes, including a share of the individual title at the U.S. Collegiate in April.

"Erik has really been playing well of late," said U.S. Palmer Cup coach Matt Thurmond. "He certainly deserves to be on the team, and no one has been hotter as of late than Erik Flores."
