Their names and swings take us back to an earlier time when everything in golf, except perhaps the fun they had playing the game, was smaller. The Demaret division of the Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf is a reunion for players 70 and older, an annual opportunity to reconnect with old friends and old competitive feelings. The recent 36-hole, better-ball event at The Club at Savannah Harbor featured some good golf and good times for three-dozen men who helped shape the pro game. Here, 72-year-old Lee Trevino pitches while Larry Ziegler and Frank Beard, with their caddies/sons, Tony and Michael, look on.

Gibby Gilbert (left) and J.C. Snead captured their second straight Demaret title in a playoff when Snead wedged to six inches for a winning birdie on the first extra hole. The duo shot a final-nine 28 to rally and force a playoff.
