Tiger Woods used his Nike Forged Blade irons to rank T-6 in greens in regulation en route to winning the Buick Open. Catriona Matthew used the 2009 version of Titleist's Pro V1x ball for the first time in securing the Ricoh Women's British Open crown, while Fred Funk also captured his second major title, winning the U.S. Senior Open with pinpoint driving (ranked first) using a TaylorMade Burner driver and sound putting (ranked eighth) wielding a Guerin Rife Barbados mallet putter.
