In his first week using TaylorMade's adjustable R9 driver (which he set 1D2 degree open with a neutral face setting, with 5-gram weights in the left and right port and an 8-gram weight in the rear), Pat Perez won the 50th Bob Hope Classic. Perez's win also marked the first PGA Tour win for the 2009 version of Titleist's Pro V1x ball. On the Champions Tour, Bernhard Langer used Adams' new Speedline driver during his win in Hawaii.
