To get this ball to the hole, you need some run. Take an 8-iron, and play the "hook chip," which doesn't check up like a typical chip does.
2. Grip Fix
Choke up and take a 10-finger grip to promote more release with the right hand. You'll close the clubface for a lower flight and hotter roll.
3. Swing In
Use the standard chipping setup: ball back, hands ahead, weight left. Then swing the club inside, setting up an in-to-out path.
4. Hook It
Accelerate through the ball, and rotate the club with your right hand into a toe-up position. It's like a topspin forehand in tennis.
