Accuracy with my tee shots has really become a strength of my game, and it's something I developed out of necessity. Before this past year on the PGA Tour, I spent three seasons playing in Korea. Over there, if you don't hit the fairway, you're pretty much hitting it out-of-bounds. The courses are that tight. You learn quickly to find a way to put your ball in play.
Going from those narrow driving holes to roomier ones has given me more confidence and a bigger margin for error. So when I do have an important tee shot, I often think of those courses in Korea.
Try picturing the hole you're playing with houses lining the side (or sides) with trouble. Your focus will be on hitting it in play, not trying to squeeze out a few more yards because the hole might look wide open. Distance is nice, but I'd rather play from the fairway.
