GREAT EXPECTATIONSI thought I'd win a major by the time I was 30, but it doesn't matter whether I have or haven't. I never got in that comfort zone where I played to the best of my abilities at a young age, although I had moments. I've come a long way during the past 18 months; I feel like I've grown as a person, and my game has grown a lot, too. I believe it's all there. I just need to continue making progress and go where I feel like I can.
CADDIE POWERSteve Williams becoming available was very fortunate for me because great caddies don't come along too often. He seems like he's going to help push me. So far he has kept me fired up. When I get in the running, I'm excited and confident of my chances.
VISION QUESTI started wearing sunglasses (these are Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ) early last year. Maybe I'm getting older, but I see better, and my eyes feel a lot better at the end of the day.
SOFTER SIDEI play the 2011 Titleist Pro V1 for its softer feel and higher flight. I put five dots on it in the shape of the Southern Cross, a constellation you see when you're in the Southern Hemisphere. It's on the Australian flag.
TRUSTED TOOLI've had this divot-repair tool since I started working with Butch Harmon at Rio Secco in 1999. It's probably the only thing I've managed to keep this long.
SOFTER SIDEI like the taste of Clif Bars, plus they come in a lot of flavors. But I don't need any extra sugar so I carry the Nuun hydration tablets that I can just drop in a bottle of water.
SURF CRAZYI grew up on the beach in Australia, but I didn't surf as a kid. After turning pro, I needed a hobby. A friend introduced me to it, and it really refreshes my mind. I've been to the Maldives in the Indian Ocean just to surf. My favorite board is this El Fuego from Firewire.
DRIVERI play the Titleist 910D3 (9.5 degrees, A-1 setting, Graphite Design Tour AD DI-8 shaft, X-flex, tipped one inch, custom black paint, 44¾ inches). All my grips are Golf Pride Tour Velvet with one piece of masking tape under the double-sided tape.
FAIRWAY WOODI like the look of the deep-face Titleist 910F-d (15 degrees, D-3 setting for a little extra loft, Fujikura Rombax Pro 95, X-flex, tipped two inches).
HYBRIDMy Titleist 910H is 21 degrees (B-1 setting, UST Proforce V2 shaft, 105 grams, X-flex, tipped one inch). I used to carry a 2-iron. Not anymore.
WEDGESI play three Titleist Vokey Design wedges (200 series, 49, 54 and 60 degrees). The pitching wedge is bent a degree weak and has the same shaft as my irons because it's mainly a full-swing club. My 54 and 60 have KBS Hi- Rev shafts, X-flex.
PUTTERI made the switch to this 49-inch, Titleist by Scotty Cameron prototype Kombi-S putter (80-degree lie angle) in February. Titleist is planning to sell a version of it in 2012.
IRONSI've gone back to traditional blade irons in the Titleist MB (3- through 9-iron, standard length, 1-degree upright, KBS Tour shafts, X-flex). I like the clean look, and I have the lofts weakened by 1 degree to help me spin the ball more.
