LEARNING CURVE

Age: 38 | Lives: Orlando | Story: Three wins in the past two years, including two victories in 2009 (Heritage, St. Jude Classic) by a combined 15 shots.

Over 16 years, there have been struggles and a lot of different tours (nine, I think). I thought I'd win sooner, but now I'm about where I thought I would be. A lot of it is perception, comfort level and sticking to my game plan every time.

MY GAME

I hit it short, so I better hit it straight. On certain courses I'm at a real disadvantage because of my length. That's why I have to chip and putt well.

GROOVE EFFECT

The ball doesn't stick to the clubface anymore -- it runs up the face. To me, the biggest thing is chipping out of short rough. The ball just pops up. You have no control out of Bermuda grass.

SMOTHERED, COVERED

I've won $12 millon in my career (honestly, that shocks me), but I still love Waffle House (ham and cheese omelet, hash browns, raisin toast). But Orlando could use an In-N-Out Burger.

CASHING IN

My caddie, Kip Henley (yeah, he's that guy from the Big Break), put this poker chip in the bag for good luck. It's working (11 top 10s since 2008), so I guess he won't be asking for it back any time soon.

GO, GATORS

I was part of the national-championship golf team at Florida in 1993, and I'm a huge Gators fan. I put my valuables in this pouch with a Gator on it.
