Bomb & Gouge

Driver. Wedge. Tour pros know the game well. Here's what they use when they play...

Callaway Fusion FT-5

Price: $430

Composite material allows for 50 grams of weight to be positioned around the rear perimeter. Used in '07 wins by Phil Mickelson and Charles Howell III.

Cobra Pro S

Price: $400

Pear-shaped head with dual-rhombus face insert designed to optimize ball speed across the face. Also available in Pro D model, which boasts a deeper face.

Cleveland HiBore XL

Price: $300

Second iteration of this scooped-crown club has a larger frame and higher moment of inertia than the original while center of gravity aligns with center of the clubface.

Nike SQ Sumo

Price: $300

The clubhead's backseat has been lowered from the original SQ to further drop the center of gravity. Recently used by Stephen Ames and Lucas Glover.

Ping Rapture

Price: $430

Five players at the WGC-Match Play used this driver, including Chris DiMarco. Webbed rear portion of crown is filled with carbon composite, allowing 20 grams of weight to be moved to the heel and toe.

TaylorMade Burner

Price: $300

Designed with the "bomber" in mind, the Burner has a stretched frame, a light grip and a 50-gram 46-inch shaft to foster extra clubhead speed.

Titleist 907 D2

Price: $399

The company's most popular driver on tour, the 907 D2 boasts 8 percent more face area and a tapered face that promotes high launch with low spin.

Bridgestone WC Design

Price: $120

A milled face with steep scoreline walls enhances groove volume for more spin. The grind on the trailing edge, as well as the heel and toe areas, provides versatility.

Callaway X-Tour

Price: $110

One of the few forged wedges on the market. The "Mack Daddy" grooves (inspired by Phil Mickelson) on the 58- and 60-degree lofts are designed to the USGA limit.

Cleveland 588 DSG

Price: $110

The club's dynamic sole grind is designed to provide bounce on shots from the sand and soft turf, while allowing the face to sit open for flop shots.

Mizuno MP-R

Price: $100

The black nickel finish reduces glare while the computer-milled square grooves are designed to optimize spin. The "workshop grind" provides heel-and-toe relief.

Nike SV Tour

Price: $80

Milled face fosters predictable distances and shot patterns. Feedback from the tour inspired the groove and bounce designs. Four wins on PGA Tour in '06.

Ping iWedge

Price: $100

The concave-shaped sole couples with a tapered heel and toe to help prevent digging. Six lofts with varying bounce configurations provide plenty of choices. Also available in graphite.

Srixon WG-504

Price: $110

Forged from soft carbon steel with a glare reducing gunmetal finish. Modified square grooves. Jim Furyk has used these on the PGA Tour for more than a year.

TaylorMade rac Satin TP

Price: $120

"Feel pockets" on the back of club are designed to reduce vibration. Computer-milled "Y-Cutter" grooves have sharp edges, but adhere to USGA rules.

Titleist Vokey Spin Milled

Price: $110

This teardrop-shaped model, which uses a circular saw-like tool to produce precise grooves with steep edges, is a favorite among the company's tour staff.
